He was predeceased by: his parents, James Joseph Griffin and Dorothy Neher Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Jean Banks Griffin; his children, Mary Joyce Griffin, Dr. James Griffin (Lisa), Jean Bisio (Tony), John Griffin (Angela), Julianne Jackson (Robert), Jennifer Schaeffer (Jonathan) and Bryan Griffin (Shellee); his grandchildren, Ryan Bisio (Denise), Britney Bisio (Nick), Robert Jackson III (Ashley), Emily Griffin (Aanand), Cecilia Jackson, John Patrick Griffin (Hope), Brennan Griffin, Elizabeth Griffin, Brighid Griffin, Allison Griffin and Joss Chesney; and his great grandchildren, April Bisio, Ansley Jackson, Antonia Pachon, Robert Jackson IV and Ryan Bisio Jr..
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Louis Catholic Church (203 S White Station Rd, Memphis, TN 38117-3438).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
