He was predeceased by : his parents, John Peter Retzke and Hildegard Wilfinger Retzke; his wife Alfreda Kaczanowski Retzke; his son William John 'Billy Retzke; and his brother James Retzke.
He is survived by : his children, James Michael 'Jim Retzke (Gigie) of Edenton, NC, Paula Marie Keller (Chad) of Spruce Pine, NC and Michelle Jean Spaulding (Mark) of Matthews, NC; and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Thomas, Grace, Cooper and Kylie.
