He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Russell Boyd and Beulah Morris Boyd; and his siblings, Alma Boyd, C. L. Boyd, Ruth Crabtree, Jeanie May Stanley, Lucy Biggs and Faye Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Iva Louise Davis Boyd; his children, Chuck Boyd (Lisa), Cary Boyd (Brenda Gail) and Chris Boyd; his siblings, Fred Boyd (Marie), Marvis Boyd (Peggy) and Dot Newman; his granddaughter Abigail Stephenson (Thomas); his brothers, Wyatt Boyd (Leighton), Garrett Boyd (Haley) and Jared Boyd (Catherine); his great grandchild Amelia; and his grandchildren, Fitz, Cooper, Annie and Maebry.
