He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Nelson and Clara Phillips Alexander; his wife Brenda Joyce Carter Alexander; and his grandparents, Ray Van, Velma Roberts Phillips, Albert and Daisy Ann Maddux Alexander.

He is survived by : his children, Emily Celeste Alexander of Nashville and Michael Howard Alexander II of Goodlettsville.
