We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2025, at the age of 87, Loretta Petty (Gordonsville, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garrett Anderson Blevins and Mary Lurla Christian Blevins; her husband William Maxie Petty; her siblings, Robert Larence Blevins, Charles Blevins and Sue Kirk; and her grandchildren, Christy Johnson, Jacob Ryan Vantrease, Matthew Vantrease and Erica Petty.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie Petty (Cheryl) of Biloxi, MS, Barbara Vantrease (Gary) of Gordonsville, TN, Patrcia "Pebbles" Hamlet (Jamie) of Gordonsville, TN, Bill "Junior" Petty (Donette) of Baxter, TN and Mac Petty (Leigh) of Gordonsville, TN.; her brother David Blevins (Natalie); her grandchildren, Amelia Anderson (Trinity), Dylan Hamlet (Jessie), Drew Hamlet, Darby Herron (Hunter), Kelsi Petty, Hayden Petty and Dwayne Garcia; her great grandchildren, Josh Johnson, John Taylor Johnson (Megan), Melody Vantrease, Will Petty, Allie Brooke Anderson, Josie Anderson, Madasyn Garcia, Kristen West (Chase), Decklyn Hamlet and Aspen Herron; and her great great grandchildren, Cameron Phillips, Aubrey Swindell, Mattie Johnson, Ryker West and Callie Rae West.
The family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, Gordonsville Building Fund.
