He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Percy Foster and Dorothy Henderson Foster; his former wife Treva Hix Foster; and his brothers, Robert Owen Foster (Christine) and Aubrey Lester Foster (Betsy).
He is survived by: his wife Diane Foster; his siblings, William Carlton Foster (Stella) of Baltimore, MD, Cecil Wayne Foster (Nancy) of Monroe, VA, Kenneth Reginald Foster (Mary) of Dry Fork, VA and Myrtle Elizabeth Shaner of Myrtle Beach, SC.; his children, Mark Edward Foster (Tammie) of Goose Creek, SC, Christopher Adam Martin of Kingsport, TN and Meredith Martin Collins (Rob) of Kingsport, TN; his grandson Matthew James Foster (Alyson); his children, Zoey and Gabriel Foster of Summerville, SC; and his grandson Robert Glenn Hight of Blountville, TN.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
