She was predeceased by : her parents, Hugh Newland and Clara Newland; her husband Paul Barnes, Jr.; and her brothers, Charles, Gordon (Clay) and Rhea Newland.
She is survived by : her children, David Kim Barnes (TR) and Kristin Hampton (Terry); her grandchildren, Kimberley Barnes Kinch, Charles Barnes, Jason Hampton and Jennifer Hampton; her great grandchildren, Lexie Panepinto, Jerry Barnes, Zachary Johnson, Ethan Abramat and Tristan Abramat; and her sisters-in-law, Martha Newland and Gladys Newland. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gray United Methodist Church (http://www.grayumc.org) or St. Jude's Children's Hospital (http://www.stjude.org), one of her favorite charities.
