She was predeceased by: her parents, James Boyer and Lena Boyer. She is survived by: her husband Mitchell W. Scott; her children, Maryly Ellen Scott-Sprinkle (Hoyt), Ginny Lea Bailey (Tim) and Will Scott (Sara); her grandchildren, Amber Nicole MacDonald and Jacob Ryan Hayes; her great grandchildren, Mary Jane, Sarah Grace MacDonald and Lottie May Paul; and her siblings, Sandra Rutter and Larry Boyer.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes - Kingsport (117 E Charlemont Ave, Kingsport, TN 37660). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the East Lawn Memorial Park (4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, TN 37664).
