He was predeceased by: his parents, Elisha Franklin and Jennie Edds Fugate; his siblings, Mary Alice McCall, Wilma Madge Akers, Jimmie Louise Mize, Betty Ann Taylor, Earl Franklin Fugate, Lon Henley Fugate, Don Edds Fugate and Gerald Charles Fugate; his son Danny Lynn Fugate; and his grandchildren, Christine Michelle Fugate and Robert Dwayne Fugate.
He is survived by: his wife June Catherine Justice Fugate; his brother Michael Steven Fugate; his son Robert David Fugate (Sue Green); his granddaughter Kim Fugate Wynn (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Olivia Drew Fugate, Ellie Kate Wynn and Harli Belle Fugate; his close friends, Bill McClurg and David Claborn; his cousin Steve Fugate; and his caregiver Wilma Carver.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Baker's Creek Cemetery (5501 Nine Mile Rd, Maryville, TN 37801).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Springview Baptist Church.
