She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Swafford, Jr.; her parents, Nancy Katherine and Chester Douglas Thomas; and her sons, Bruce McNeese and James William Cundall.

She is survived by: her children, Wayne McNeese of Darlene Olinger, E. C, Medlin and Tammy Lee Cundall. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
