It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Louise Dyer (Greeneville, Tennessee), who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Frank Dyer; her sons, Rodney Dyer and Anthony Dyer; her parents, Nora Stroud Douthat and Bob Douthat; and her brothers, Willie J. Douthat, John Douthat, Dick Douthat, Bob Jr. Douthat, Austin Douthat, Jessie Douthat and Vincent Douthat.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Dyer (Lisa) of Greeneville, TN and Nora Beth Friesen (Randolph) of Strawberry Plains, TN; and her grandchildren, Erin Dyer (Michael Curry), Beth Dyer, Tessa Dyer (Matt Eitel), Cassie Adkins (Josh Williams), Ashley Hammer, Jessica Dyer, Amy, Louis Kicken, Kyle, Rachelle Friesen and Korey Friesen.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Friends of Hospice Serenity House, 421 North High Street, Morristown, TN 37814, or to Concord Baptist Church, 436 Concord Road, Mohawk, TN 37810.
