It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Greene of Greeneville, Tennessee, who passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Roxie Greene; his brother Rev. Bobby Greene; and his grandson Justin Tipton. He is survived by: his wife Fodell Greene; his daughters, Kathy Tipton (David) and Peggy Rainwater; the mother of his children Helen Davenport; his granddaughter Dana Chandler (Daniel); his great grandchild Henry Chandler; his grandson Michael Rainwater; his sisters, Wanda Greene and Mitzi Wilhoit; his siblings-in-law, John and Debbie Goode; and his close friends, Dale and Joann Parman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Church of God (1505 W Main St, Greeneville, TN 37743). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A committal service will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
