He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan B. Culton Sr. and Marjorie Sherrod Culton; his parents-in-law, Charles Bean Jr. and Sallie Young Bean; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas H. Bean, Charles Roy Bean, Joe Clyde Bean and Carolyn Bean.

He is survived by: his wife Dot Bean Culton; his cousins, Sally Hodge (Jerry), Sylvia Knight, Helen Guthrie (Robert) and Art Franklin (Brenda); his siblings-in-law, Nancy Price Rowland, Maxine Jones (Gary), Betty B. Smith and George Bean (Veneda); and his niece Shonda Hensley.
