He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester King and Sophia Rice King; his wife Imogene King; his son Bobby Allen; his stepgrandson Travis Bell; and his siblings, Paul, Pender, Emmerson, Shad, Catherine Haney and Jerda McCarter.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Richards (Henry) and Eddie King; his stepdaughter Debbie Hughes (Bobby); his girlfriend Brenda Franklin; his siblings, L. C. King (Suzie), Alberta Jeffers, Mary Tullock, Margaret Cole and Patsy Jones (John); and his sisters-in-law, Barbara King and Sue King. He is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; and many other family members.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
