Eugene Richard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Wilma; his parents, Robert "Bob" Swatzell and Edna Swatzell; his siblings, Annis Casteel Jones, Lucy Kate Smelcer, Edith Latheim, Voretta Skeen, Gladys Idell and Carl Genay Swatzell; and his brother-in-law Gene "Jimmy" Smelcer.

He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa (Myrl Morelock), Anita (Buddy Austin) and Pebbles "Eugenia" (Dan Young); his brothers, Dean Swatzell of Russelville, Zemery (Manilla Swatzell) and Marybelle Smelcer of Greeneville; his grandchildren, Dave, Debbie Moody, Scott Moody, Andy Moody and Zackery Pickett; his great grandchildren, Chelsea, Drew, Hayden, Jordin, Gabe and Oliver; his niece Melissa Bowin (Chris); and his great-nephew Samuel. He is also survived by several nieces nephews.
