He was predeceased by: his brother Samual Burnette; his son James Burnette III; and his granddaughter Kyleen Burnette. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Burnette; and his children, Kathrine Strissell (Bob) of Mosheim, David Burnette (Sarah) of Afton, TN and Jeffrey Burnette (Paula) of Carpentersville, IL.. He is also survived by Twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
