He was predeceased by: his daughter Julia Pierce Cali; his parents, E. D. Pierce and Pearl Pierce; his siblings, Phyllis McAmis, Wanda Hall, Jean Mott, Copper Pierce and Betty Pierce (Tony Deaton); his nephews, Jimmy Mott, Doug Henard and Steve Mott; and his niece Connie Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Jonnie Pierce; his son Jim Pierce (Beth) of Cornelius, NC; his grandchildren, Pierce Cali of Charleston, SC and Cassie Pierce Basnett (Michael) of Cornelius, NC; his great grandchildren, Crew and Tatum; his grandsons, Ben Pierce (Brittany) and Stephen Pierce (Faith) of Sherrills Ford, NC; his great grandchildren, Brecken, Baker and Brooks; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Deaton Henard, Joyce Deaton and Mary Kathryn Deaton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Chancel Choir in honor of Jimmy Pierce.
