With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny Powers of Greeneville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 27, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Powers and Esther Powers; and his siblings, Paul Allen Powers, Marianna LaRue and Janice Hoyle.
He is survived by: his grandson John Stephen Powers III; his great grandchildren, Liam Powers and Stevie Crum; his wife Lois Birdwell Powers; his children, Julia Crum (Mike) and John Stephen II Powers (Brye); his siblings, Margorie Tilly of Marion, NC and George Powers (Charlene) of Easley, SC; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Hoyle, Johnny Birdwell (Ann), Luke Birdwell, Jay Birdwell (Ann) and Jean "Leo" Birdwell; and his grandchildren, John Stephen III Powers (Kayla), Mitchell Powers (Chloe), Heath Crum (Madison) and Rachel Crum (Adam Johnson).
The family asked that memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to the South Greene Volunteer Fire Department, C/O Teddy Reaves, 680 River Rd., Greeneville, TN 37743.
