He was predeceased by : his grandparents, James, Alice Helen Smelcer, Billie A Gass and Betty Holland; his son Logan James Smelcer; his aunt Betty Davis; and his uncle Charles Russell, Jr..

He is survived by : his parents, Janice Gass (Nicki) and Stacey Johnson (Judy); and his grandfather Gregory King. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
