Joyce leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joyce’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Joyce will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry A. Laws; her parents, Buster Burgner and Blanche Burgner; and her sister Peggy Burgner. She is survived by: her goddaughter Sarah Michael Brown; and her siblings-in-law, Lonnie and Susan Laws. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Mt. Carmel Um Church (2466 TN-107, Chuckey, TN 37641). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Liberty Cemetery (91 Guy Brown Rd, Chuckey, TN 37641).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
