She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Thompson and Lyda Thompson; and her siblings, Hershel, J. C., Howard Thompson, Helen (Ed Jennings) and Carolyn (Wayne Blazer).

She is survived by: her husband Johnny Sluder; her children, Karen Haire and Mark Sluder; her grandson Zachary Haire; her great grandchild Mason Haire; her sister Peggy; her brother-in-law Eddie McCamey; her brother Franklin Thompson; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Thompson and Ellen Thompson; and her friend Tim Haire. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
