She was predeceased by : her husband John Fortner; her parents, Kody Shelton and Sinda Shelton; and her siblings, Inave Shelton, Conley Shelton, Stanley Shelton, Heinon Shelton, Garland Shelton, Delmas Shelton and Scott Shelton.

She is survived by : her daughter Lisa; her son-in-law Jerry Anderson; her grandchildren, Joseph (Faith Anderson), Jonathan Anderson, Gabby Anderson and Calysta Anderson; her great grandchild Lily Anderson; and her sisters, Jean Rice, Atlas (Paul Carter) and Wilma (Max Williams). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
