He was predeceased by: his wives, Jennie Lee Cannon Chandler and Shirley Chandler; his stepdaughter Janie Newton; his parents, James Rufus Chandler and Lois Morton; and his brothers, Harold Chandler, Roger Chandler, Norman Chandler, Bobby Chandler, Randall Chandler and Teddy Chandler.
He is survived by: his stepson Gary Spears (Nancy); his grandchildren, Amber Starrette (Berry) and Wesley Newton; and his nieces and nephews, Don Chandler, Phil Chandler (Renee), Billy Chandler (Paula), Diane Arrington (Mickie) and Jewel Waldroup.
