With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene Jeanette Johnson Brown of Greeneville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her significant other Buddy D. Brown; her parents, Stokely Johnson and Chloe Johnson; her brother Arnold Johnson; and her friend Laura Kay Neas Shackelford.

She is survived by: her daughter Julie Belt (Kevin Belt) of Gray, TN; and her grandchildren, Andrew Belt of Johnson City, Grace Belt, Faith Belt and Christin Belt of Gray.

In lieu of flower, donations may be made to Appalachian Helping Hands, 3205 St. James Road, Greeneville, TN 37743.
