He was predeceased by: his adoptive parents, Jane, Bret Julian, Adam Julian and Hunter Anne Mattingly (Jacob); his wife Clytie Zuerner; his parents, Alvin Joseph and Lucy Cox Zuerner; and his siblings, Edwin Charles Zuerner and Helen Hessing.
He is survived by: his daughter Lucy; his grandsons, John Franklin Boys and James Austin Boys; and his sister-in-law Patricia Williams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Samaritan Purse.
