He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Malone and Thelma Oler Malone; and his pet Bo. He is survived by: his wife Luanne Kilday Malone; his daughter Shannon; his son-in-law Eddie Robinette; his grandchildren, MacKenzie, Gracie, Eli, Samuel Robinette and Jeb; his brother Tim; his sister-in-law Susan Malone; and his sister Pam Self.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dixon Chapel Church of God, Cowboys of Hope, or Crossroads Cowboy Church.
