William Eugene Rector Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Eugene Rector of Greeneville, Tennessee, who passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, William Eugene is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that William Eugene's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Rector and Lilly Rector. He is survived by: his children, William Steven Rector (Donna) and Julie Silvers (Ed); his granddaughter Whitney Silvers (Hope); and his siblings, Bobby Joe Rector and Sylvia Pridemore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
