He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elihu McDaniel and Marion Fay Darnel McDaniel; and his sister Connie Fay Smith. He is survived by: his wife Margo Ann Reddick; his siblings, Robert Dwayne McDaniel and Blinda Lynn Suratt (Ralph); his stepson Daniel Erik Belew (Tammy); his foster daughter Carla Summers (Tommy); his stepgrandchildren, Logan Belew and Kaidyn Williams; and his grandsons, Gavin Summers and Conner Summers.
