He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elmer and Mildred Gilliland Sr. (Hastings); and his sister Alice Faye Rose. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Gilliland (McCorkle); his sons, William Dustin Gilliland of Henning, TN and John Elmer Gilliland III of Halls, TN; his sister Sheila Vickery; and his grandchildren, Jayda Lynn Gilliland and John Brantlee Gilliland.
