She was predeceased by: her parents, Ercle Sr. Hardy and JoElla Hardy; her husband Gene; her sons, Wymond Burroughs, Jr. and Loren Burroughs (Janice); and her siblings, Lucille, Pauline, James, Ercle Jr., Warren, Calvin, Joe, Carlos, Eva Sue and Russell.

She is survived by: her children, Gwendolyn Straka (William), Cynthia Goodof (Michael) and Michael Burroughs (Barbara); and her grandchildren, Bill (Mari), Trinity (Tim), Christopher (Lisa), Nicholas (Amy), Amanda (Keith), Timothy (Stephanie), Kristin (Kyle), Kara (Andrew), Bradley (Megan), Joshua and Abigail. She is also survived by her 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church of Halls.
