He was predeceased by: his brother Randy Newsome; and his adoptive parents, Bennett Newsome and Judy Fout Newsome. He is survived by: his parents, Juanita Adams and Dennis Newsome; his wife Jennifer Elkins Newsome; his children, Derrick Allen Mills (Hadessah), Caleb Joshua Newsome, Rachel Elizabeth Newsome and Breanna Michelle Newsome; and his siblings, Chuck, Deborah, Carla, Rick, Stacey, Brook, Brian, Chrissy, Samantha, Brandy, Rhonda, Sarah and Judy.

In lieu of lowers the family asks that contributions be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
