He was predeceased by: his wife Billie Abston; his daughters, Diane Cates, Wilma Fisher and Donna Frayley; his parents, Elbert Abson and Lucy Abson; and his siblings, Ed Abston, Mike Abston, Gloria Gardner and Violet Arwood.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, John (Melissa Gann), Caine Chancey, Joanie Bailey, Chassitty Fisher and Ashley Collins; and his sibling's children, Adam Abston and Stacy Gardner.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Davis Funeral Home (715 Morgan Ave NE, Harriman, TN 37748). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Roane Memorial Gardens (1400 N Gateway Ave, Rockwood, TN 37854).
