It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Brown (Harriman, Tennessee), who passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Derrick and Cora Lee Derrick; her former husband Bobby Thomas; her husband Lynn Brown; her siblings, Paul Derrick, Unave Estep, Ethel Skems and Gladys Pierce; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Thomas; and her great great grandchild Miles Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy (David Rose), David Thomas and Joseph Brown; her sister Goldie Carroll; her grandchildren, Carol (Jeff Cole), Karen Rose, Krystal (Steven Hennager), Christian Brown, Sebastian Brown, Hannah Brown, Jason Thomas and Jamie Thomas; her great grandchildren, Amanda Rose, Elaine Vineyard, Rose Roberts, Dallas Cole, Brycelyn Hennager, Magnolia Brown and Nolan Brown; her great great grandchildren, Kholben Davis, McKenzie Hicks, Khloe Vineyard and Colton Vineyard; her niece Carol (Terry Woodard); and her close friends, Darlene Jenkins, Bob Clark, Edna Johnson, Patricia Taylor, Linda Finks and Steven Spears.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to support the family with unexpected funeral expenses in Dot's Honor.
