She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hixson and Sudie Billings Hixson; and her siblings, Jessie Hixson, Barbara Guinn, Edna Rucker, Roy, Tom Jr., Charlie Mack, Willie and Boyd Hixson.
She is survived by: her husband Glenn Ballew. She is also survived by her husband, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston (350 W Race St, Kingston, TN 37763). A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Roane Memorial Gardens (1400 N Gateway Ave, Rockwood, TN 37854).
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church building fund.
