He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Tate and Pauline Tate; his wife Viola "Tootsie" Tate; and his siblings, Barbara Jean Jones, Sandra Nelson and Gary Tate.
He is survived by: his daughter April Tate of Friendsville; his sisters, Shirley Seely of Kevil and Ketta Smith of Harriman; his brother-in-law Keith Adkins (Tammy) of Ten Mile; his nephew Scott Jones (Angie) of Harriman; and his friends, Crystal Neeley of Harriman, Erika Ambrose, Alicia Ambrose of Oliver Springs, Brooklyn Ambrose of Harriman, Danette, Candace and Wyatt Winkler of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
