With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donald Leon Rush Sr. of Harrison, Tennessee, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Donald left this world on December 8, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack (Grace Rush) and Chattanooga; his former wife Patricia; his children, Mike Rush and Reni Curtis; and his siblings, Jack Rush, Glenda Campbell and Betty Robinson.
He is survived by: his wife Sherlene; his children, Donald Leon Rush, Jr. (Brenda) and Rhonda Clark (Charles); his children-in-law, Doug Curtis and Bev Rush; his grandchildren, Donald Rush (Bethany), Zachary Rush (Kelly), Amber Hafley (Tanner), Daniel Curtis (Brandy), Doug Curtis (Jennifer), John Shahan (Jesi), Josh Shahan (Amber), Ricky Shahan (Melissa), Michael Rush (Melissa) and Matthew Rush; and his stepchildren, Jeff Howell (Sandy) and Angie Everett (Dewayne). He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
The military honors was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404). Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maple Grove Baptist Church (9525 Birchwood Pike, Harrison, TN 37341). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
