Gardner Byron Scott Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gardner Byron Scott of Harrison, Tennessee, who passed away on June 11, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Scott and Ruby Scott; and his siblings, Ruth Willard, Gloria Lane, Raymond and Hoyt Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Scott; his daughters, Melissa Taliaferro (Billy) of McMinnville, TN and Melinda Heilker (John); his grandsons, Chris Taliaferro (Amanda) and Sigi Heilker; his brother-in-law Lane; his niece Kimberly Highfield; and his nephew Buddy Lane. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
