He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel Warren and Stella Copeland Lowe; and his daughter Cathy. He is survived by : his wife Charlotte Ann Lowe; his daughters, Suzanne Cate (Will) and Laurie Dworak (Dale); his grandchildren, Cayenne Kruse, William Cate III, Rachel Cook, Seth Kruse, Olivia Angst and David Copeland Cate; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Mary, August, Maddie May, Isaac, Isabelle (Izzy), Ottley and Theodore (Teddy).
