He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliva Ausmus and Norie Ausmus; and his friend Dee Middleton. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ausmus; his sons, Scott Ausmus and Michael Ausmus; his grandchildren, Brooke Sexton (Aaron), Barton Ausmus (LeShae) and Dylan Ausmus (Emalee Ausmus); his great grandchild Cayson Scott Ausmus; his siblings, Diane Ausmus, Joann Cornett (Jerry) and Bob Ausmus; his close friends, Jimmy and Sue Johnson; Laura Ausmus.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cawood Funeral Home (112 S 21st St, Middlesboro, KY 40965). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
