It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Cook of Harrogate, Tennessee, who passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James "L. C." Cook and Thelma Pinion; his stepfather Jimmy Pinion; his children, Gerald Daniel "Danny" Cook and Katrena Detty; his granddaughter Amanda Upton; his brothers, David Cook and James Cook; and his grandparents, Neely and Effie Warren.

He is survived by: his wife Janis Cook; his son James Cook (Tammy); his stepdaughter Steva Parkey; his sister Bobbie Taber (Greg); and his grandchildren, Ashley, Kristy, Jess, Harry, Zaden, Helena, Maddy, Emmy Lou, Josh, Shae, Raeghan, Taylor, Lynn, Wess and Rachel. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other relatives, friends and church family.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions in Gerald's memory be made to the Hensley's Chapel Youth, PO BOX 1389, Middlesboro, Kentucky, 40965.
