He was predeceased by : his daughter Vicky Petula Black; his great grandchild Raylan Brooks Black; and his parents, Estes Black and Lora Black. He is survived by : his children, Regenia Ford (Harvey) and Nickey Black (Sarah); his grandchildren, Daniel James (Kim), Hanna Black (Satchel), Davey Ford (Courtney), Petchula Ford (Kyle) and Nicholas Black (Hannah); and his great grandchildren, Gannon Franklin, Savannah Ball, Rhett Black, Layne Ford, Mason James, Henson Taylor, Bella James, Marlee Ford, Sutton Taylor and Maddie James. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
