He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie H. Steiger and Julia Washer Steiger; and his siblings, John Robert, Donald, Catherine Mary, Constance and Patricia.
He is survived by: his son John Steiger (Tammy); his grandchildren, Melanie Christine Elrod (Luke), Charli Breanna Elliot (Casey) and Charla LeAnn Schrimpe (Fred); and his great grandchildren, Graham Elrod, Anslee Elliot, Kaiden Evans and Weston Elliot.
