It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lura Jane Carden of Heiskell, Tennessee, who passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Carl Carden; her parents, Henry Lossen and Bonnie Long; her siblings, Ella, Brenda, Jennie, Roy Long (Thelma), Glen Long and Monroe Long (Wanda); and her brothers-in-law, Bob Kibler and Gary Cate.

She is survived by : her siblings, Elsie Kibler, Dorothy Cate, Louise McNeely (Trent), Darlene Irwin (Chris), Leon Long (Judy), Arlie Long (Adina) and Benny Long (Vickie); and her sister-in-law Pat Long. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to The Gideons International, Knox Northwest Camp, P.O. Box 560, Powell, TN 37849, in Laura Jane Carden's honor.
