He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie H. Murley and Sudie P. King Murley; his wife Alma Janette Hazelip; his son Mike Slone; and his siblings, Charles Murley, Mary Joyce Stewart, Faith Patterson and Fredie Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Slone (Carol) of Collierville, TN and Ronnie Slone (Margaret) of Munford, TN; and his siblings, Richard "Ricky" Murley (Celia) of Henderson and Jane Hays (Robert) of Lexington, TN.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
