It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Brooks (Henderson, Tennessee), who passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Martin and Martha Melinda Hopper Vestal; her husband Edgar Eli Brooks, Jr.; and her siblings, Arch Martin, Kye Martin, Albert Martin, Clyde Martin, Claude Martin, George Martin, Gilbert Martin, Edith Broughton, Allene Weatherington and Ruby Clark.

She is survived by : her children, Johnny Brooks (John) of Memphis and Kimba Brooks of Sardis, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Marcus Pipkin (Cherie), Ginger Pipkin (Johnna) and Lee Hill; and her great grandchildren, Reagan, Reese and Eli.
