She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Lewis Chaney and Carolyn Lee Cato Chaney; her husband James McFarland; her son Jason Ray; and her brothers, Robert Chaney, Jr. of Pinson and Alfred Chaney.

She is survived by : her son Billy Ray (Cindy) of Beech Bluff; and her sister Peggy Ray of Beech Bluff. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
