He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Rankin and Winnie Patterson Rankin; his wife Peggy Jane Davis; and his siblings, Bernice McDaniel, Herman and Aaron Rankin.

He is survived by : his daughter Glenda Williams (Joe) of Selmer, TN; his grandchildren, Brooke Willis (Shane) of Adamsville, TN and Stefanie Williams of Selmer, TN; and his great grandchildren, Miles Cooper (Rebakah Gray) of Adamsville, TN, Ethan Cooper of Adamsville, TN, Amelia Cooper of Adamsville, TN and Taylor Willis of Jackson, TN..

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the First Christian Church.
