He is survived by: his father Charles Leroy Childers; his wife Susan Linette Childers (Sain); his children, Leah Beaver of Henderson, Jenny Johnson (Rob) of Columbia, TN and Tim Childers (Lee Ann) of Henderson; his grandchildren, Zach Johnson (Lauren), Zane Johnson (Eden), Zoe Carter (Dawson), Anna Beth Beaver, Trace Beaver, Sadie Childers and Taylor Childers; his great grandchildren, Bradley Zane Johnson, Dixie Anne Frazier and Grayson Thomas Johnson; his stepchildren, Trenton Sain (Wendy), Amanda Horn (Joshua), Thomas Sain (Janet) and Lauren Malecha (Ryan); his grandchildren, Gavin Sain, Madelyn Sain, Caleb Horn, Colton Horn, Anthony Sain, Jayce Malecha and Cohen Malecha; his brother David Childers (Karen); his sisters-in-law, Sharon Simmons (Tommy) and Sherrill Day; Tom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Estes Church of Christ (3505 US-45, Henderson, TN 38340).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Tom and Carole Childers Memorial Scholarship.
