He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Robert Melton (Chris Andersen) and Patricia Ann Andersen; his grandmother Mildred Lucille; his stepfather Charles Dobney; and his brother-in-law Jeffrey Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Deanne Melton; his daughter Elisha; his son-in-law Michael McDonald; his grandchildren, Hailey McDonald and Brayden McDonald; and his siblings, Christy, Patrick (Ronnie Hassell), Charles (Gloria Melton) and Glenn (Tena Lewis). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and Deanne's extended family.
