We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2024, at the age of 76, Wayne E. Thompson (Hendersonville, Tennessee), born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wayne E. Thompson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas E. Thompson and Yvonne Thompson (Lewis); his former life partner Judi Thompson; and his siblings, Carol and Tom.
He is survived by : his wife Donna Thompson (Shelby); his daughters, Tammy Smith (Bryan) and Sheila Day (John); his grandchildren, Devin, Tyler, Amanda, Nathan and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Elijah, Penelope and Lorelai; and his siblings, Lee, Neal, Sue and Joyce. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center (353 E Main St, Hendersonville, TN 37075). A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Wayne's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
